No experience necessary

Wondering whether drumming is right for you? Find out in this one time session. You will have a chance to learn basic technique on both stick and hand drums. Plus, you will learn rhythms that when layered on top of each other create a beautiful drum piece.

Drums e.g djembes, conga’s, snares, toms, and bass drums will be included.

Sunday (1st) 3:30-5:30 pm (every other month)

*Varied drum experience welcome. This class will work well for the beginner drummer, along with those that have had some drum experience.

This class offers technique training for a variety of drum styles that use both hands and sticks (e.g djembes, conga’s, snares, toms, and bass drums). Technique practice and playing musical pieces are used to teach you about the art of drumming. African, Brazilian, Caribbean and American rhythms will be included. In each class you will have a chance to lose yourself in the beautiful rhythms and music while you play.

Moderate drum experience necessary

This class offers technique training for a variety of drum styles that use both hands and sticks (e.g djembes, conga’s, snares, toms, and bass drums). Technique practice and playing musical pieces are used to teach you about the art of drumming. African, Brazilian, Caribbean and American rhythms will be included. In addition, the art of performing will be emphasized.

A variety of drums will be available to share or bring your own

Come and explore how the sounds of drums and other percussion instruments will help you release any stress from life and leave you in a peaceful state of being. The drumming will be free style to allow for self expression and to allow for the group to blend naturally. Each session will end with a sound mediation.

A community drum circle that focuses on creating one voice out of many. It emphasizes being “In the moment”. During the drum circle we will have time to both see where the music goes by creating a collective rhythm and experience holding a rhythm that combines with other rhythms to make a drumSong.
